TOEFL stands for Test Of Home as a Foreign language, namely English test designed to measure mastery of English for their "mother tongue" is not English.
TOEFL organized and developed by ETS (Educational Testing Service), a nonprofit agency based in the U.S.. TOEFL test for the first time held in 1964. TOEFL scores are mainly used as one of the requirements for entry in about 2400 universities in the United States, Canada and 80 other countries in the world.
The ability of any tested in TOEFL test?
TOEFL test is divided into 3 parts which each part must be done by test participants. The first section contains 50 questions that measure the ability of Listening Comprehension,, the second part there are 40 questions about the Structure & Written Expression, and the third part contains 50 questions on Reading Comprehension.
All about the form of multiple choice (except for the Computer Based TOEFL test no matter essay writing ability of participants in English and a variety of other forms of matter such as match, to highlight certain words in connection with the main idea of a reading, etc..).
When applied to the overall TOEFL test approximately 150 minutes, for the Paper and Pencil Based TOEFL, and about 240 minutes for the Computer Based TOEFL. Time for Computer-Based TOEFL is relatively long because it includes tutorials procedure.

TOEFL adalah singkatan dari Test Of English as a Foreign langua. Bagi saya Toefl ini sangat berguna bagi semua orang, Tes TOEFL untuk pertama kali diselenggarakan pada tahun 1964. Nilai TOEFL kebanyakan digunakan sebagai salah satu syarat untuk masuk di sekitar 2400 perguruan tinggi di Amerika, Kanada dan 80 negara lainnya di dunia.
Tes TOEFL dibagi menjadi 3 bagian yang setiap bagian harus dikerjakan oleh peserta tes. Bagian pertama berisi 50 soal yang mengukur kemampuan Listening Comprehension,, bagian kedua ada 40 soal tentang Structure & Written Expression, dan pada bagian ketiga terdapat 50 soal tentang Reading Comprehension. Seluruh soal berbentuk pilihan berganda (kecuali untuk Computer Based TOEFL ada soal esai yang menguji kemampuan mengarang peserta dalam bahasa Inggris serta variasi lain bentuk soal seperti menjodohkan.
Waktu yang diberlakukan untuk tes TOEFL secara keseluruhan kurang lebih 150 menit, untuk Paper and Pencil Based TOEFL, dan sekitar 240 menit untuk Computer Based TOEFL.
